5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 30, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Marjorie Katsoulis indicated that she has interest in serving on the Cable <br /> Advisory Commission. She requested the Board's consideration for <br /> appointment. <br /> Kathleen Lynch recognized the importance of the RAGE educational <br /> equity issue and requested the Selectmen's support in this matter. Ms. <br /> Lynch noted that she was also present to address matters relative to the <br /> bus contract if the issue were to arise on this evening's agenda. <br /> With reference to the Route 130 school bus parking lot, Randy Peters, Jr. <br /> apologized for placing the Building Inspector in a difficult situation as <br /> matters of concern were addressed at a recent Selectmen's meeting. <br /> Les Greig, a member of the Board of Assessors commented with regards <br /> to the agenda topic; Use of Legal Resources. Mr. Greig stated that <br /> presently, the Town property valuation is in excess of$1.5 billion dollars. <br /> There is a lot of residential classification property in comparison to the <br /> $120 million commercial/industrial property noted Mr. Greig in concern. <br /> He urged the Selectmen to take all steps to protect the Town in the matter <br /> brought before the Board relative to Tribal recognition. <br />
