Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 27, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Building I Mector: <br /> Selectman Marsters stepped down for the above referenced appointment. <br /> Correspondence was received from the Personnel Administrator dated <br /> November 21, 2000 recommending the appointment of Russell Wheeler, <br /> the Towds Assistant Building Inspector to the position of Building <br /> Inspector. It was noted that the position was posted in-house under the <br /> guidelines of the Administrator's Union Contract. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to appoint Russell Wheeler to <br /> the position of Building Inspector effective January 5, 2001. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Marsters absent. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment—Deputy DepiLty Chief of Police: <br /> The Board of Selectmen received several new in-house applications on <br /> this date for the position of Deputy Chief of Police and agreed to authorize <br /> two Board of Selectmen Members to attend the interview process with the <br /> Personnel Administrator and Chief of Police. <br /> Selectman Taylor and Selectman Marsters were designated <br /> representatives. The matter will be placed on the Selectmen's agenda <br /> upon completion of a satisfactory recommendation from the Personnel <br /> Board and Chief of Police. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of Utility Hearing <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve Bell Atlantic Petition <br /> 00-526 for 179 feet of conduit on Mashpee Neck Road at Jackbon <br /> Road with the use of a detail police officer. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> I <br />
