I <br /> 8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> i <br /> Minutes j <br /> November 27, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—Flume Restaurant: <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced hearing. j <br /> i <br /> Selectman Cahalan presided and opened the Public Hearing on the <br /> request of The Flume, Inc., d/b/a The Flume, Earle H. Mills, Sr., Manager, <br /> to close from November 27, 2000 until March 31, 2001, for annual <br /> renovations and repairs. j <br /> i <br /> Mrs. Mason, Assistant Town Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing <br /> notice as published. Janice Mills, The Flume was in attendance. <br /> Being no comment,the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille absent. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Facilities Needs Committee: <br /> Committee member, Fred Blythe updated the Selectmen on the following; <br /> 4, <br /> Interview Process—Facilities Needs Feasibility Study <br /> December b, 2000 @ 2:00 p.m. <br /> Town Hall—3 farms to be interviewed <br /> Selectman Taylor and Selectman Green to attend process. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to support the recommendation of the Facilities <br /> Needs Committee in their selection of an additional site for playing fields <br /> located adjacent to Heritage Park. The site is approximately 8.8 acres, is a <br /> level parcel and has ample parking. The Army National Guard will assist <br /> with the clearing of the Town-owned parcel at no additional cost. It was <br /> noted that the Mashpee High School, the initial site selection and location <br /> for the playing fields is in need of the land for future school related use. <br />
