i <br /> 9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 27, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—New Seabury Country Club Renovations: <br /> Selectman Leveille and Selectman Marsters stepped down for the above <br /> referenced hearing. <br /> Selectman Cahalane presided and opened the hearing acting as the <br /> Licensing Authority for the Town of Mashpee on the liquor license <br /> application of New Seabury Resources Management, Inc., d/b/a New <br /> Seabury Country Club, to alter the premises at 95 Shore Drive West to <br /> include; removal of previous country club; new building to consist of <br /> 42,000 square feet, including three levels with function bar, main bar, and <br /> snack bar with restrooms at each level. <br /> The Assistant Town Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing notice as <br /> published. Attorney Robert Mills was present with Food and Beverages <br /> Manager, Mark Sullivan to discuss the license application with the Board. <br /> Being no comment,the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to allow New Seabury Resources <br /> Management,Inc., d/b/a New Seabury Country Club to alter the <br /> premises as described. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille, Selectman Marsters absent. <br /> MMR ISSUES: <br /> Selectman Green updated the Board on the conference he recently <br /> attended in St. Louis on MMR-plume related issues. He noted that the <br /> forum provided a platform for the town to convey its message. The <br /> delegation was aggressive and the government was receptive to the issues <br /> facing the Town. <br />
