MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> NOVEMBER 91 1993 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7: OOPM <br /> Members Present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Deirdre Greelish; John <br /> Ferriday; Denise Sullivan and Marcia King. Tony Gallo and Roger <br /> Dunivan were unable to attend. <br /> Please note that the taping of this meeting was for the <br /> transcription of the minutes only. The tape will be reused once <br /> the Minutes are approved. <br /> John Ferriday MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of October 19, 1993 as <br /> written. Denise Sullivan seconded the Motion and members approved <br /> the Minutes as written by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The members present reviewed and approved a draft of a letter <br /> designed to be sent to each Department Head which would explain the <br /> Finance Committee's established fiscal policies; the process which <br /> will be used during the budget preparations; a request that the <br /> Department Head complete a form in reference to fees charged; and <br /> lastly a request that the Department Head let the Committee know <br /> about any personnel or capital needs by December 1, 1993 . Also <br /> enclosed was an updated liaison assignment list so that each <br /> Department Head would know whom to contact. A copy of this letter, <br /> plus its enclosures, is attached to these Minutes. Ms. King <br /> thought that the letter was excellent and members agreed that the <br /> letter should be sent. Mr. Goggin asked that the secretary make <br /> sufficient copies and forward to each Department Head. <br /> REQUEST FOR TRANSFERS <br /> There were two requests made by Mrs. LaBute that a total sum of <br /> 3,400 be transferred to the Elections Wages Account from the <br /> Reserve Fund. The amount of $2,900 is requested for the purpose of <br /> paying election workers and one police officer from 7:OOAM to <br /> 8 : OOPM for the election being held on December 11, 1993 . The <br /> amount of $500 is requested so that 5,400 Ballots can be printed <br /> for the School's 2 1/2 Election Warrant. The Committee agreed that <br /> they would discuss this request on November 16 , 1993 . The requests <br /> remained with the secretary. <br /> The Committee also agreed that they would discuss the capital <br /> projects in the town's future at the next meeting. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 7: 30PM, so that the Finance Committee <br /> Members could attend the School Building Committee's meeting, in <br /> which they were going to decide on a site for the new high school . <br /> Minutes submitted by Jean M.
