MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> OCTOBER 4, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:OOPM <br /> Finance Committee members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Marcia <br /> King, Vice Chairman; Denise Sullivan; Juan Bacigalupi; John <br /> Ferriday and Tony Gallo. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> MINUTES <br /> John Ferriday MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of September 20, 1994 <br /> with a correction to page 2, paragraph 2. The word case was <br /> written inadvertently. The word should have been cash. The word <br /> "to" was also omitted from the following line. Mr. Ferriday asked <br /> that it be added in order that the line read "like to create" . <br /> Tony Gallo seconded the Motion and members approved 6-0. <br /> Marcia King MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of October 3 , 1994 . <br /> Juan Bacigalupi seconded the Motion with a change to paragraph 5. <br /> The line should read "could not be initiated" . Members approved <br /> the Minutes 6-0. <br /> INVITED GUEST <br /> Mr. Sid Goleb was invited to attend the meeting in order that he <br /> introduce himself to the Committee and interview for the open <br /> position on the Committee. There was a question of whether Mr. <br /> Goleb would need to ask the opinion of the Ethics Commission if his <br /> wife was elected to the Board of Selectmen on October 8 , 1994. <br /> There might be a conflict of interest should she be elected. The <br /> Committee appeared to be very impressed with Mr. Goleb's <br /> qualifications. Mr. Goggin stated that he would contact Mr. Goleb <br /> with the Committee's decision. After Mr. Goleb left the meeting, <br /> Marcia King MOTIONED to appoint Mr. Goleb to the Finance Committee. <br /> John Ferriday seconded the Motion and members approved 6-0. Mrs. <br /> Sullivan mentioned that Mr. Goggin should correspond with Mr. <br /> Steven Maloney, in order that he be told of the Committee's <br /> decision. <br /> i <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> John Ferriday asked why the Revaluation Account needs to be a <br /> separate account from the Assessor's budget? Denise Sullivan <br /> stepped down from discussion. Mr. Goggin was going to look into <br /> this. Mr. Goggin also asked that a letter be sent to Diane <br /> Rommelmeyer, Town Accountant, asking her to send a written <br /> definition of the Revaluation Account and to give examples of what <br /> can be purchased from this Account. <br />
