MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> NOVEMBER 29, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:10PM <br /> Finance Committee Members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Sid <br /> Golub; Juan Bacigalupi; John Ferriday and Denise Sullivan. Marcia <br /> King and Tony Gallo were unable to attend. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> Minutes <br /> Mr. Golub requested that a change be made to page 2 of the Minutes <br /> of November 22nd. He asked that his opinion of purchasing a lawn <br /> mower being superfluous be noted in paragraph 2. There was also a <br /> typing error in paragraph 3 changing the word approve to <br /> improvement. Juan Bacigalupi MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of <br /> November 21st as written and November 22nd as amended. Sid Golub <br /> seconded the Motion and members approved 5-0. <br /> Correspondence <br /> Mr. Goggin discussed a letter which was received from the Executive <br /> Secretary in regard to the maintenance of the Herring Run. Mr. <br /> Bacigalupi asked where the remaining funds were being taken from? <br /> Apparently, there was a budget of $1,000 and the Finance Committee <br /> approved a transfer of $6,400 from the Reserve Fund. Mr. Goggin <br /> answered that he was told by Mr. Whritenour that there were certain <br /> funds available in existing budgets. Mr. Ferriday noted that it <br /> was very important that Mashpee keep up with its rivers and <br /> wetlands. - <br /> Mr. Goggin had also received from Marilyn Farren, Personnel, a copy <br /> of the PAP salary schedule, effective May 1 , 1995. Mr. Goggin <br /> mentioned that members should have this available during budget <br /> deliberations. <br /> It was requested that a letter be sent to Mr. Whritenour informing <br /> him that the Finance Committee is very interested in the new <br /> vehicle program which he is sponsoring. The letter requests that <br /> the Finance Committee be kept informed and also that the Executive <br /> Secretary submit a completed list of the Town's vehicles and <br /> Equipment Fleet. This is the second request for the vehicle and <br /> equipment list. <br /> Liaison Assignments <br /> The Finance Committee discussed Liaison Assignments. They agreed <br /> to use the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Governmental <br /> Classifications. The Recording Secretary was asked to update the <br />
