Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 8, 1999 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Acceptance of Deed to MacDonald Property_: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to accept the deed to the <br /> MacDonald property,which is Lot 2 on a "Plan of Land in Mashpee, <br /> Prepared for MacDonald Land Trust",dated October 19, 1998, by <br /> Canal Land Surveying,306 Plymouth Road,Buzzards Bay,MA. The <br /> Chairman of the Board of Selectmen and of the Conservation <br /> Commission are authorized to execute the deed acceptance on behalf <br /> of the full membership. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommended Changes to the Town of Mashpee Hiring Procedures: <br /> Marilyn Farren,Personnel Administrator was present to discuss the <br /> recommended changes to the Town of Mashpee Hiring Procedures upon <br /> the request of Selectman Taylor. <br /> A copy of the proposed changes was presented to the Selectmen for <br /> review: (enclosed) Discussion followed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the recommended <br /> changes for the Town's Hiring Process as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Caffyn in opposition. <br /> Approval of Cranberry Bog License: <br /> The Board reviewed the License to grant Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. <br /> authority to enter upon and install in and construct over a portion of <br /> certain town-owned land along the Quashnet River,which is currently <br /> used for the production of cranberries. <br />
