i <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 22, 1999 <br /> Present: Selectman Marsters, Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Leveille <br /> Town Administrator Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Absent: Selectman Frye, Selectman Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Marsters at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday,Februajy S 1999 Regular and Executive Sessions: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Monday, February 8, 1999 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Executive <br /> Session minutes of Monday,February 8, 1999 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> Peg Harsch, a member of the Board of Directors of the Mashpee <br /> Taxpayers Association indicated that this month marks the four-year <br /> commitment of the association's responsibility to televise meetings of the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mrs. Harsch requested the Board place an article on the Town Meeting <br /> warrant to expend funds for cable access television in Town Hall. <br /> In response, Mr. Whritenour stated that there is a pending request with <br /> Media One as part of their license agreement to provide equipment to <br /> televise meetings. The issue is also before the Capital Improvement <br /> Committee. It was noted that volunteers will be required to operate the <br /> function of the camera. Media One is expected to respond to this matter in <br /> mid-March. <br /> Selectman Caffyn requested immediate action, and requested that the <br /> matter be forwarded to the Cable Advisory Committee for review. <br />
