7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 22, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Cultural Council Appointments-. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to appoint; <br /> Doreen Guild Jim Long <br /> Jim Marr Helene DeFoe <br /> Joyce Mason <br /> to the Cultural Council for a term to expire; 6/30/99. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Design Review Committee Appointment—Retaining Services: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Design Review Committee <br /> dated February 11, 1999 requesting the Board accept the office of <br /> Walter Yarosh to serve on the Design Review Committee. <br /> It was noted that the Design Review Committee is composed of four <br /> persons as described in Mashpee Zoning Section 174-48C. One member <br /> from the Planning Board, one member from the Board of Appeals and two <br /> members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mary Leblanc was appointed as a landscape designer representative, and <br /> Thomas O'Hara was appointed as a citizen of the Town of Mashpee. The <br /> committee is void of an architect. The committee requested the Board's <br /> consideration to retain Mr. Yarosh on a volunteer basis to conform to <br /> Section C of the bylaw. "One of the two members appointed by the Board <br /> of Selectmen shall be an architect, landscape architect or civil engineer. In <br /> the event that no such person is available, the Design Review Committee <br /> may retain, with the permission of the Board of Selectmen, the services of <br /> an architect, landscape architect or civil engineer. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to retain the office of Walter <br /> Yarosh to serve as an advisor to the Design Review Committee on a <br /> volunteer basis as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous, 3-0. <br />
