3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 29, 1999 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Cornment: <br /> Representatives from Willowbend Development Corporation presented <br /> a memorandum to the Selectmen dated March 29, 1999 concerning the <br /> warrant article relative to the acquisition of land on Shoestring Bay. For <br /> the record, Willowbend expressed strong opposition to the article and to <br /> the process by which it was put forward. (enclosed) <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Approval and Execution of Town Meeting Warrant&Annual Election <br /> Warrant: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve and execute the <br /> Annual Election warrants of May 8, 1999 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to approve and execute the <br /> Annual and Special Town Meeting warrants of May 3, 1999 <br /> as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Police Chief Recommendations for Credit for Previous Police Experience: <br /> William C. Przybylek, Chief of Police was present to recommend the <br /> Board the credit officers for previous police experience as detailed in his <br /> memorandum of February 23, 1999 to the Selectmen. <br /> Under a revised provision in the Town's contract with the IBPO,Local <br /> 389,Unit A,police officers represented by that unit may apply for <br /> previous police experience credit to be used for salary and vacation <br /> purposes,but not for seniority in the department. <br />
