Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 3, 1999 <br /> Present: Selectman Marsters, Selectman Frye, Selectman Taylor, <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Leveille <br /> Town Administrator Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Guests: Town Accountant—Diane Rommelmeyer <br /> Town Counsel—Everett Marder <br /> Town Moderator--Jeremy Carter <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Marsters at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Quashnet Valley School, Conference Room#1. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARING <br /> Public Hearin —MashM High School Booster's Club: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the meeting to continue the Public Hearing <br /> on the application of the Mashpee High School Booster's Club to conduct <br /> a Carnival from June 30, 1999 to July 7, 1999 at the Mashpee High <br /> School, 500 Old Barnstable Road,Mashpee. <br /> Laurie Murphy,President of the Mashpee High School Booster's Club <br /> was present to discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Issues relative to the fundraiser carnival were further clarified and <br /> discussed. It was noted that the School Committee is supportive of the <br /> event as stipulated using the high school parking lot only. <br /> Ms. Murphy indicated that a recent copy of the certificate of insurance <br /> furnished by Fiesta Shows has been submitted to the Office of the Board <br /> of Selectmen. In addition,certification relative to workman's <br /> compensation was requested to be included in the license application. <br /> All insurance matters are subject to the review and approval of Town <br /> Counsel and the Town Insurance Company. <br /> It was noted that all licensed food vendors from Fiesta Shows would be <br /> covered under their liability policy. There will not be any independent <br /> vendors at the fundraiser carnival. <br />
