2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 17, 1999 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearin —Jift Lube: <br /> Selectman Marsters continued the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> Jiffy Lube, for Aboveground Fuel Storage Tanks(5,990 gallons)to store <br /> motor oil,waste oil,transmission fluid, new/used antifreeze, and window <br /> washer fluid at 60 Falmouth Road,Mashpee. <br /> It was noted that the Selectmen continued the Public Hearing to obtain <br /> additional information relative to the fuel containment and extraction <br /> process. <br /> Sheldon Hamblin,the Deputy Fire Chief was present to discuss the license <br /> application with the Board of Selectmen. Deputy Hamblin indicated that <br /> the license application is in accordance with safety code requirements. <br /> If the Selectmen approve the license, William Hauck,Inspector of <br /> Buildings, will review the building permit. Permits for the storage of oil <br /> are reviewed on a continued basis, and are expected to meet state code <br /> requirements for underground storage tanks explained Deputy Hamblin <br /> who recommended approval of the license application as presented. <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the hearing to obtain comment. Being none, <br /> he requested a vote from the Board to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the application of Jiffy <br /> Lube,for Aboveground Fuel Storage Tanks(5,990 gallons) to store <br /> motor oil,waste oil,transmission fluid, new/used antifreeze,and <br /> window washer fluid at 60 Falmouth Road,Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
