10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 21, 1999 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Memorandum from the Chief of Police re: Credit for Previous Police <br /> Ex,ve rience: <br /> William C. Przybylek, Chief of Police was present to discuss his <br /> memorandum of June 2, 1999 relative to credit for previous experience for <br /> police officers. <br /> Under the provisions of the Town's contract with IBPO, Local 389,Unit <br /> "A", police officers may apply to the Chief for previous police experience <br /> credit to be used for salary and vacation purposes,but not for seniority in <br /> the department. <br /> Chief Przybylek recommended that fourteen officers receive credit. The <br /> total salary impact of$18,195.15 is contained in the FY 2000 budget. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the recommendation <br /> of the Chief of Police as outlined in his memorandum of February 23, <br /> 1999,and grant credit to the mentioned police officers for previous <br /> police experience. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VVOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Ado tion of Police Department Recruitment Policy: <br /> Chief Przybylek submitted a final copy of the Recruitment,Evaluation and <br /> Selection Policy for the Appointment of Police Officers to the Mashpee <br /> Police Department to the Selectmen for review and consideration. <br /> The policy was amended to apply 15 points for full-time residency in the <br /> Town of Mashpee. Chief Przybylek recommended the Board's approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Recruitment, <br /> Evaluation and Selection Policy for the Appointment of Police <br /> Officers as outlined in the attached memorandum of June 3, 1999 <br /> from Chief Przybylek. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: 4.1.
