6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 9, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Bid for Acre Lance— Skateboard Park ui ment: <br /> The Leisure Services Director, Gus Frederick was present to recommend <br /> the Board approve the bid as received from Skate Parks, Inc. of Scituate to <br /> supply and set skate park equipment at the Mashpee Skateboard Park. <br /> Correspondence was received from the Chief of Police dated August 3, <br /> 1999 recommending approval. Skate Parks, Inc.,an industry leader in the <br /> area has satisfied bid specification requirements. The bid of$28,795 falls <br /> within the budget that was authorized under the Police Department's state <br /> grant. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to accept the bid from Skate <br /> Parks, Inc. in the amount of$28,795 for Skate Park Equipment as <br /> recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Ambulance Abatements for Approval: <br /> George Baker, Fire Chief submitted five hardship abatement requests to <br /> the Selectmen for consideration for ambulance transport services. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the following <br /> Ambulance Abatements for hardship as requested; <br /> Antone Souza 4/17/99 $ 79.21 <br /> Richard Sebring 6/16/99 $427.07 <br /> Emerila Leduc 5/29/99 $ 63.56 <br /> Lillian Marston 12/2/98 $ 69.11 <br /> and postpone a vote on the abatement request of Richard Johnson <br /> until further clarification. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
