3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 30, 1999 <br /> Town,Meeting_Warrant Review and Approval: <br /> The Board of Selectmen conducted a workshop session with the <br /> Finance Committee for the purpose of reviewing the October 4, 1999 <br /> Town Meeting warrant. <br /> In particular, financial articles were considered. Warrant <br /> recommendations are expected to be finalized by the Finance <br /> Committee on August 31, 1999 prior to publishing procedures. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve and execute <br /> the October Town Meeting warrant as submitted on this date <br /> August 30, 1999. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of Neighborhood Block Party—Pinec_rest Avenue: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above topic <br /> as an agenda item of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. ' <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board was in receipt of a request from Kim Orlando, 25 Pinecrest <br /> Avenue to close the road from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on September 4, <br /> 1999 for the purpose of conducting a neighborhood block party. <br /> Communication was received from the Chief of Police dated August 30, <br /> 1999 and the Fire Chief dated August 30, 1999 without objection. The <br /> above period mentioned will not create any public safety operations <br /> stipulated that the barriers as proposed be temporary, and easily moved <br /> in the event of an emergency. <br /> Motion wade by Selectman Leveille to approve the request of <br /> Kim Orlando to hold a neighborhood block party on Saturday, <br /> September 4, 1999 as stipulated. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
