2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 18, 1999 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Aooroval of Building*Department Fee Schedule: <br /> Selectman Marsters stepped down for the above topic of discussion. <br /> Vice-Chairman Leveille presided. <br /> The Assistant Building Inspector,Russell Wheeler was present <br /> to request the Board approve amendments proposed for the <br /> Building Department's Schedule of Fees. <br /> The Selectmen reviewed the amendments with the Assistant Inspector <br /> of Buildings as attached to his memorandum of October 1, 1999. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the Building <br /> Department amended Schedule of Fees as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous.. .4-0. <br /> Selectman Marsters absent for vote. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Mor an James Peters re: MashWe Art House: <br /> Morgan J. Peters, Artistic Director of the Oversoul Theater Collective, a <br /> non-profit, multicultural arts and education organization,was present <br /> to request the Selectmen consider a donation of Town owned land for the <br /> construction of the Mashpee Art House. <br /> Mr. Peters indicated that the OTC is collaborating with the Mashpee <br /> Wampanoag Tribal Council,the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support <br /> Coalition, and the Circle of Caring to open the Mashpee Arts House, a <br /> facility to be specifically designed for arts and cultural programs. <br /> The north end, near the Town's historic district is proposed as the <br /> appropriate site location since much of the Town's social and cultural life <br /> once took place in this area. The site envisioned is the former location of <br /> the Mashpee Town Hall near the Heritage Park ballfield. <br />
