Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 7 <br /> January S, 1998 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Performance Annraisal_for Approval: <br /> The Board reviewed the performance appraisal of Steve Buss,the <br /> Network Administrator. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Performance <br /> Appraisal of Steve Buss,Network Administrator as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Discussion of Membership: <br /> Selectman Dinizio,Chairman of the Mashpee Commons Advisory Committee <br /> requested the Board expand the present make-up of the committee to include <br /> additional members. <br /> There are presently five members on the committee. Additional input will allow <br /> the committee to review and explore options proposed by citizens to protect <br /> the environment. <br /> It was noted that the Board is in receipt of a petition signed by approximately <br /> 300 residents in opposition to the Mashpee Commons development proposal. <br /> Impacts to the Mashpee River, National Wildlife Refuge and environmentally <br /> sensitive lands have been deemed a concern of the citizens who petitioned the <br /> town. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to advertise for membership as requested. <br /> The Board will consider adding three citizens to the committee. <br /> MMR ISSUES <br /> Selectman Caffyn indicated that she is expected to meet with the <br /> Conservation Commission and Mr. Handy to discuss the future of Mashpee's <br /> cranberry bogs. <br />
