Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 2 <br /> April 27, 1998 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request of Mashpee Lions Club for Annual Toll Boot (continued) <br /> It was noted that there is no longer an official Town of Mashpee Lions Club. <br /> The nearest clubs include; Bourne, Sandwich and Hyannis. <br /> Selectman Caffyn related concern with respect to granting other organizations <br /> located in Mashpee the opportunity to hold fund raisers. <br /> Selectman Marsters requested the Lions Club provide a definitive contribution <br /> amount that benefits the Town of Mashpee, and the amount that is raised by the <br /> club at Mashpee locations to the Board of Selectmen for additional review. <br /> f Sally Paolini for Reimbursemen of CrackedWindshield Expenses; <br /> Sally Paolini was present to request the Selectmen overturn the decision of the <br /> Town's insurance company,and reimburse costs incurred by the Department <br /> of Public Works. <br /> It was noted that a windshield was cracked in August of 1997. The insurance <br /> company determined that there was no negligence on the Town's truck driver <br /> although he admitted the incident may have occurred. <br /> Ms. Paolini indicated that she was advised by the Attorney General's Office <br /> to forward her claim to the general court. The total cost requested is $261.38. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to obtain further information pertaining to this <br /> matter. *Agenda item: May 11, 1998. <br /> CO M- MUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence fromxe r r i <br /> The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council has arranged a reception ceremony <br /> to acknowledge the transfer of the Indian Museum, and to help kick off the <br /> renovation process. <br /> Selectman Curtis Frye indicated that he will attend the ceremony on behalf of <br /> the Board on Monday,May 18, 1998 at 12:00 p.m. Additional members of <br /> the Board of Selectmen are invited to attend as honored guests. <br />
