VO]C Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> klinutes 10 <br /> June 8, 1998 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> A,ppointrne_nA of Sticker SaIQs Attendants: <br /> The Personnel Administrator and Town Clerk recommend the Board appoint <br /> the following(3) candidates to the seasonal positions of Sticker Sales <br /> Attendants; <br /> Claire Lavin-Friel Rita Benhke Martha Love <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to appoint the above named <br /> candidates as Sticker Sales Attendants effective June 1, 1998. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> AM ointment of Waterways Assistantsm <br /> The Harbor Master, Shellfish Constable and Personnel Administrator <br /> recommend the Board appoint; <br /> Daniel Sweeney full-time waterway assistant <br /> Juliette Wang Coombs part-time waterway assistant <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to appoint the above named <br /> candidates to the recommended assistant waterway positions. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Proposed Poli-cr. CadetProgram: <br /> William C. Przybylek, Chief of Police was present to discuss the proposed <br /> Police Cadet Program with members of the Board of Selectmen. Chief <br /> Przybylek discussed his memo of May 22, 1998 pertaining to the residential <br /> preference in the recruiting and appointment of Police Officers. <br /> Under the Police Cadet Program, the Selectmen could appoint citizen residents <br /> between the ages of 18 and 23 to the program. Candidates who meet certain <br /> appointment criteria would then serve in a full-time on-the-job training program, <br /> including full-time academy attendance, after which they could be appointed as <br /> Police Officers. <br />
