Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 11 <br /> June 22, 1998 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request.Request.Qf Mash Mashm Permanenj Firefi&tgers Association r - Fundraiser: <br /> Correspondence was received from Local 2519 of the Mashpee <br /> Permanent Firefighters Association dated June 8, 1998 requesting the <br /> Board approve the"Fill the Boot"fundraiser on route 151 at the intersection <br /> of James Circle on the dates of July 22, 23,24, and 25, 1998. <br /> The fundraiser would be held in conjunction with the Barnstable County Fair, <br /> and benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the"Fill the Soot" <br /> fundraiser as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-4. <br /> Memo from the DPW Dirgctor re: PiMtes Cove Draina=Improvements: <br /> Greg Taylor,Director of Public Works discussed his memo of June 17, 1998 <br /> to the Selectmen relative to drainage improvements to Pirates Cove. A <br /> construction estimate of$6,370 was provided to the Board. The residents of <br /> Pirates Cove have agreed to pay 100%of the construction costs to be <br /> constructed by the Department of Public Works. <br /> Motion, made by Selectman Caffyn to authorize drainage improvements <br /> to Pirates Cove as depicted. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> SMcial Eyents A li ti n -Ann al Po -W w: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Special Events <br /> application of the Mashpee Wampanoag Annual Pow-Wow on <br /> July 3,4, and 5, 1998 subject to departmental conditions and parking <br /> restrictions. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
