Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 3 <br /> September 1,1998 <br /> Town M&ding Workshop: (continued) <br /> Article 440: To prepare a layout for the purpose of taking <br /> Back Road. Recommendation from Finance Committee <br /> to be included on warrant. <br /> Article 98: To appropriate the sum of$15,000 to the Board of Health <br /> Solid Waste Account. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to amend Article#8 <br /> to appropriate the sum of$25 000 to the Board of Health <br /> Solid Waste Account. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board of Health will be invited to attend a Selectmen's <br /> Meeting for the purpose of discussing strategies to initiate <br /> curbside trash collection and recycling in the community. <br /> With respect to the present collection of landfill fees associated <br /> with the collection of bulky waste,the Board of Health will be <br /> directed to place all collections in the revolving account, and <br /> be advised that there will be no cash transactions at the landfill. <br /> Article#15: Property Tax Relief It is the consensus of the Board to place <br /> the sum of$1,400,000 in said article. ($1,300,000 from <br /> free cash and$100,000 from overlay surplus). <br /> Article #16: Stabilization Account. <br /> Additional comments pertaining to the warrant; <br /> An Implementation Committee will make recommendations to the Selectmen <br /> in the future on all zoning articles relative to the Town Meeting warrant. <br /> The Planning Board will also be requested to vote on all warrant articles <br /> prior to the Selectmen's approval. <br />
