Board of Selectmen 2 <br /> Minutes <br /> November 30, 1998 <br /> APPODDIENM AND HEARINGS: <br /> r : 1Club: <br /> Bill Zammer, Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod <br /> Construction Committee presented a schematic layout of the newly designed <br /> facility to the Board of Selectmen for review. <br /> Walter Yarosh;architect, designed the building that will be located next to <br /> the Police and Fire Stations. The Board reviewed the design and exterior <br /> site conditions. <br /> Mr. Zammer requested the Selectmen approve a proposed safety link for <br /> access to the Boys and Girls Club from the Coombs School facility. The <br /> additional access and egress will allow for buses to safely turn into the drop <br /> off area informed Mr. Zammer who noted that public safety vehicles will also be <br /> authorized access. <br /> Chief Baker indicated that he has reviewed this matter and approves the linkage <br /> as an emergency access roadway that will reduce response time by approximately <br /> three to five minutes. It was noted that a gate will lock the additional roadway <br /> which will not be opened for parent/car access. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to approve the proposed link from <br /> the Coombs School to the Boys and Girls Club pending the review and <br /> approval of the School Department. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Taylor will make a presentation to the School Department on <br /> Tuesday with respect to this matter. <br />
