BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, MARCH 19, 1990 <br /> PAGE FIVE <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 8. MASSACHUSETTS AUDUBON SOCIETY - Mrs. Jacobson moved to <br /> allow the Massachusetts Audubon Society to post signs <br /> and/or fence in areas at Popponesset Spit where nesting of <br /> terns and piping plovers takes place. Mr. Lawrence <br /> seconded the motion. All were in favor. Mr. Hanson was <br /> not present for the vote. <br /> OTHER NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 . JOHN'S. POND - Mr. Carter indicated that the DPW Director <br /> and the Conservation Agent had checked the level at John's <br /> Pond and agreed that the level was within normal limits for <br /> this time of year. <br /> 2. CAPE COD COMMISSION ACT - Mr. Lawrence moved that the Town <br /> Planner be requested to provide to the Board of Selectmen <br /> any information relative to plans that he may submit if the <br /> Cape Cod Commission Act passes. Mr. Carter seconded the <br /> motion— All were in favor. <br /> S. BASS FISHING TOURNEY - Mr. Gottlieb stated that a Mass <br /> fishing tourney has been posted for Mashpee Pond and that <br /> the advertised enrollment is too high for the parking lot <br /> to handle. The' Board authorized Mr . Harrington to write to <br /> the sponsors and ask what they are planning and determine <br /> whether they have received a permit from the State. <br /> Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8: 10 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ar <br /> Debra J.
