BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, JUNE 11 , 1990 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINTS <br /> #2 (Cont. ) <br /> for a permit such as that applied for by Dolphin Bay by <br /> its filing with the Planning Board on June 21 , 1989, and <br /> which special permit was not thereafter issued due to <br /> negotiations with the Planning Board during agreed upon <br /> extensions of time limits, which exist in the instance of <br /> the Dolphin Bay application, and which said special permit <br /> is thereafter approved prior to July 1 , 1990. <br /> Mr. Hanson moved to exempt the Dolphin Bay project from the <br /> provisions of the Cape Cod Commission Act. Mr. Lawrence <br /> seconded the motion. Mr. Carter and Mrs. Jacobson were in <br /> favor. Mr. Gottlieb was opposed, <br /> 3. POLICE STATION BUILDING COMMITTEE - Sgt. William Ethier <br /> appeared before the Board to discuss a number of. issues <br /> concerning the Police Station Addition project. <br /> Sgt. Ethier stated that he had submitted Change Order #1 in <br /> the amount of $3 ,775.84 approved by the Police Station <br /> Building Committee for communications and electrical lines . <br /> The Committee voted to hire David Fisher as clerk of the <br /> works. He had formerly been the superintendent on the job <br /> prior to the shutdown. Mr. Gottlieb asked if the Committee <br /> is comfortable with Mr. Fisher' s allegiance to the <br /> Committee. Sgt. Ethier stated that he had spoken with the <br /> Contractor and the Architect and that the Committee did not <br /> expect a problem with relationships at the site. <br /> The Board voted unanimously to approve Change Order ##1 and <br /> to authorize the Building Committee to approve change <br /> orders not to exceed $3 ,800 without prior approval of the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> With a change order greater than the $3,800 ceiling, the <br /> Committee should contact the Executive Secretary and the <br /> Board will be contacted for 1_ons iderat i sin of the change <br /> order. <br />
