TOWN OF MASHPEE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING December 9 , 1998 The Design Review Committee met at 6 : 30 p ,m. on Wednesday, December 9 , 1998 at the Lower Level of Mashpee Town Hall , Committee Members Present : Ed Govoni , Chairman; Thomas F. O'Hara ; Mary LeBlanc , Also Present : Russ Wheeler Absent : Patrick Coffey, Bill Hauck 1 . at,arr]aUck & Miller Construction , Si= The plan showed a small . 8 sq , ft . , 8 'x 1 ' sign to be placed over the office doorway. It will consist of blue vinyl letters on gray. There was no objection to the sign as presented . 2 . Dunkin' Donuts . 401 Main Street . Egute _130 Mr . Wayne Tavares presented landscaping plans and a brief history of the project . The wall expense has increased; a softer slope and lower wall was suggested by Mr , Tavares . The matter of the private residence behind the proposed building is a concern . Estimated distance from the property line is 75 ft . , Mr . Tavares said . Ms . LeBlanc suggested various strategically placed plantings would enhance the area and maintain a ' good neighbor' policy. Suggested plantings included cedar, spruce, maple, and planters . It was agreed thicker plantings will be planted along the property line in order to create a strong buffer . A minor supporting, interlocking system for the 6X' wall was proposed . It was mentioned stucco is economical and attractive . Minor modifications to the original plan are required in order to become part of the Special Permit . This modified plan should be recorded , Signage ; It ' s a low sign and does not require a Special Permit , the applicant noted . Adjournment : 7 : 00 p .m, Respectfully submitted, la e A.
