TOWN OF MASHPEE
DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING
March 22, 2000
The Design Review Committee met at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2000 in
Room 3 of Mashpee Town Hall.
Committee Members Present: William Hauck, Ex Officio; Thomas F. O'Hara;
Martine Meijering, Planning Board Representative.
1. Andy's Market, Rt. 151, Nathan Ellis Highway
Mr. Bryan Anderson'of Andy's Market displayed plans showing three, free-standing
signs with interchangeable letters. One sign is planned at each aggress 5 ft. or
more from the property line. The color will be Classic Burgundy #26 with wooden
posts painted white. Lighting, which is not to interfere with road traffic, will be from
the ground up on all three signs.
Mr. Anderson noted a detailed landscaping plan should be on file.
The Board found the plan for interchangeable signs objectionable.
Discussion ensued.
Mr. Anderson requested what section of town bylaw is being quoted. He cited other
interchangeable signs in town and suggested if there is a bylaw everyone should
comply with it.
There was not a quorum and a vote was not taken. The matter was postponed to
the meeting of April 12'. Mr. Anderson said he is unable to attend that meeting. He
requested if a determination is made at that time, that he be notified.
Adjournment: 7:20 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Jane A. Pierce
Recording Secretary
