-2-
4. Mashpee Water District, 79 Industrial Drive - Sign
All members agreed the 20 sq. ft. proposed gray sign with white carved letters
"looked great." The sign met all the criteria of the Design Review Committee.
5. Andy's Market-- Nathan Ellist Highway -- Sign
The plan showed three, free-standing, changeable signs 20 sq. ft. or less. Colors
are exactly the same as the building signs. All boards will not read the same.
Discussion ensued regarding sign codes. It was requested junipers be planted
around one sign. The three signs were approved.
6. Germarko Realty Trust, 11 Echo Road — Plan Review
Messrs. George O'Brien and Dan Speakman reported they met with the Technical
Review Committee. Many suggestions were incorporated into the plans. There will
be drainage changes, the entrance will be moved, the building will be downsized
and the septic will be moved.
17 parking spaces are planned. They appear to be using an Industrial parking count
in a C2 zone. Outside storage triggers Industrial. They will need a variance if they
have outside storage.
A landscape buffer in needed between the property and the May Institute. It should
be wrapped around the corner in order to block storage. Lealand spruce, native
cedar and pines were suggested. They should be 3" caliper and 5' to 6 in height.
A designer should be consulted about planting. Watering is very important. The
chain link fence will have green screening.
A revised plan will be delivered to Mr. Hauck. There is no need to return to Design
Review.
