Town of Mas pee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> aslipee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF August la 2001 <br /> The Design Review Committee met at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2001 <br /> in Mashpee Town Hall. <br /> Committee.members present: Edward Govoni, Chairman; Walter Yarosh. Also <br /> present: Russ Wheeler. <br /> Site Plan and Landscape Review <br /> 1. Route 130 and Oakland Road — Veterinary Hospital <br /> The proponents are Dr. John Leach and Thomas Moroni. The location is a C2 <br /> Zone. The Planning Board was involved when land was originally subdivided. <br /> The proponent is the owner of Oakland Road and may use both sides. Variance <br /> is sought on the 75' road setback. The building as shown is smaller. Revised <br /> footprint of 81' by 48' shown on plan. <br /> The proponent seeks fewer spaces for parking; one space every 150' sq. ft. <br /> translates to 26 parking spaces. Requirement for office is 19 spaces; now <br /> shows 17 spaces on plan. Veterinary business is by appointment only. Fire <br /> access and water recharge requires 25' buffer. The water recharge area has <br /> been reduced back to edge of parking. <br /> Specific landscape plan must be provided. Should be a tall and medium buffer <br /> from road. Needs schedule of plants. Revise for Board of Appeals. No sign or <br /> lighting plan yet. Need two sets of sign plans, stamped. Building is clapboard, <br /> pitched roof. Handicap ramp must be shown on plan. Elevation must match <br /> floor plan. Windows are not to scale and don't match on plan. . Plan will be <br /> revised; must be site specific. Committee feels this lot does not need the 200' <br /> frontage; do need one 75' setback variance. Site plan acceptable, but needs <br /> work on landscape plan. Proponent due before Board of Appeals August 8th. <br />
