340 and 342 Main Street cont'd.) <br /> There was a lengthy discussion and the highlights of that discussion included the following: <br /> • Bob Nelson advised that at last night's meeting ZBA turned down this abutting complex. <br /> • Design Review indicated that they are not in favor of"cookie cutter"Plan and suggested they make <br /> changes to give nicer appearance to the project. <br /> • Look at another approach so that back side of building does not face Rt. 130. <br /> • Steven Hayes stated they will do substantial amount of work on elevation of building facing Rt. 130. <br /> • Steven Hayes advised that the 2 buildings are going to be all offices. <br /> • Design Review cautioned Steven Hayes to keep needed buffer(s) in mind when working up design. <br /> • Consensus was that access might be a problem; grading could be a problem; parking probably will be a <br /> problem, as well as backing into Main Street. <br /> • Steven Hayes said he knows there are a lot of problems but before they went too far they wanted to get <br /> feedback from Design Review. <br /> • Suggestion made that the applicant might want to check with Town Counsel to see how front of building <br /> is defined. <br /> Conclusion: No submission.
