She has 6 Chihauhau dogs...the mother, father and 4 pups. The females
are fixed and she said she has no intentions of breeding; no day care or no boarding of dogs. She
said all 6 dogs are vaccinated; all licensed. Glen Harrington advised that the Board of Health
approved the application pending inspection by the animal inspectors.
Public-Comment
The audience attendees were all neighbors; had received notice of the hearing; and all had voiced
objection to approving this personal kennel. Each neighbor voiced their concerns, which were
basically the same issues—namely:
• 6 dogs constantly barking is big issue.
• Dogs are loud.
• Concerned about property values going down.
• One neighbor has his house up for sale and lost at least one buyer due to dog barking noise.
• Letter sent from one of the neighbors that they are "yapping" dogs.
• Oppose personal kennel'in the area. Lots are too small and houses too close together.
