TOWN OF WHPEE <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> Minutes of Meeting, March 1, 1976, 7:30 p.m. <br /> . PRESENT: W.S. Clendenin, R.A. Graham, R.A. Maxim, K. Parolski <br /> Chairman Clendenin will meet frith the Board of Selectmen on Wednesday,. <br /> March 4, at 3:30 p.m. to discuss various matters: <br /> a) Regarding appointment of Harbormaster, two people are <br /> interested in this position, Chester Koblensky and Robert A. <br /> Graham, and the Personnel Board would recommend either. <br /> b) Personnel Board will recommend a 2.5% salary increase <br /> for the Fire Chief for 1976/77 fiscal year, bringing his present <br /> salary of $13,627.98 to $13,968.87. <br /> a) The letter from the Selectmen dated February 25, 1976 <br /> concerning B. Jean Thomas' position and salary will be discussed. <br /> d) The group of Town employees, requests to the Personnel <br /> Board will be discussed. <br /> e) Various articles concerning the Personnel Board will be <br /> discussed such as article for maintenance man and article for <br /> four policemen. <br /> Chief Bingham was present to discuss salary figures for his employees <br /> under the SAP. His article requesting the hiring of four full-time -police- <br /> men was discussed. Also, it was agreed that police vacation schedule be <br /> on a calendar year, and the secretary will go over these figures with <br /> Chief Bingham. <br /> Concerning sick leave, it was agreed that for persons vho have used up <br /> their current year's sick leave allowance, additional sick leave could be <br /> taken from that person's allowance for the following year, pending a request <br /> from Chief Bingham. If this time is not used up, it will again be added to <br /> following year's allowance. Chief Bingham will send a letter to Personnel <br /> Board requesting such for two specific people. , <br /> A meeting has been. tentativrlj set for March.10, 1976 at Bob Graham's <br /> office with the Mashpoe Policei Association to go over proposed police <br /> contract. Copies of this,'contract will be given to Chief Bingham and <br /> the Board of Selectmen, and a copy�'will,be sent -to Attorney Koval for his <br /> review and comments. <br /> Concerning the'Chief's_ attAndance at negotiating sessions;'the Board <br /> has not yet heard fr the.
