TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> • Minutes of Meeting, April 26, 1976, 7:30 p.m. <br /> PRESENT; W.S. Clendenin, C.A. Brawn, R.A. Graham, R.A. Maxim, F. Leonardi <br /> Mr. Clendenin reported that AttorneyrKowal was.to have met this after- <br /> noon with Attorney Zisson, representing the Mashpee Police Association-to . <br /> discuss the police contract. Attorney Kowal will have the revised contract <br /> prepared in time for the meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. - between the Personnel <br /> Board and the Police Association. This will be held at Sequoia Insurance Co. , <br /> Mashpee. <br /> There was discussion of the articles for the Annual Town Meeting warrant, <br /> Ads will be pladed in the .Cape Cod Times and Falmouth Enterprise 5/4 ' <br /> and 5/7/76 editions for a clerk/typist in Treasurer's Office, due to Mrs. <br /> Thompson's resignation. Interviews are set for May 11 for this position <br /> and that of Indian Museum Secretary. Mrs, Lucas and Mr. Mills will be <br /> asked to attend. ' <br /> A letter from Lansing Pocknett's surgeon was noted, - Mr. Pocknett is <br /> now receiving Workmen's Compensation. - A letter will go to the Selectmen <br /> suggesting that in order to prevent another case such as Detective Costa's <br /> it is suggested that we make a determination that Mr. Pocknett i.s not receiving <br /> more than his maximum net pay. We will refer to the procedure as outlined <br /> under Section 22 of the Salary Administration Plan. Copies to Florence Lucas <br /> . and Lansing Pocknett. <br /> A letter will be sent to.Chief Bingham noting that the Board has -reviewed <br /> his manning increase; however, the Board at this time t&n only recommend one <br /> additional police officer. <br /> There was discussion of the. salary figures as printed in the warrant. <br /> These figures will be reviewed for Mr. Clendenin, with discrepancies noted. <br /> In connection with a previous vote to recommend a 5% cost of living <br /> increase for town employees, Mr. Clendenin suggested as an alternative that <br /> $500 be paid to all permanent , full--time employees presently employed, <br /> covered under the Salary Administration Plan, pro-rated over the fiscal year <br /> 1976/77. It was stated that such a cost would be $13,000, or approximately <br /> $1�A,0//00 1/pyss tha a � cost of living raise.
