LT• Q nf personnei F-oard on Seotembor 13, 1976 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7130 P-M, by Chairman Frank Leonardi. <br /> Board members present were Chester Brown, John Peters, and Wilma Graham. <br /> Due- to the absence of the Board's secretary, the minutes of the previous <br /> meeting were not discussed. <br /> The Board briefly discussed the actual hours presently being worked by town <br /> employees as it regards that which is set forth in the SALARY ADTTNISTRATION PLAN. <br /> Information regarding this has already been requested from the Executive <br /> Secretary's office, <br /> s <br /> The board met with I Irs. I•ailIS- . Chairman of the School Committee, Dr. D`Antuono, <br /> Superintendent of Schools and Mr. Coombs , Principal of the Samuel Davis School <br /> relative to cafeteria workers who are seeking vacation leave pay in accordance <br /> with the Salary Administration Plan. This matter was discussed at length, and <br /> it was suggested by the Board that they treat this matter on the basis that <br /> the employees in question do not work a full 52 week year and as such, are <br /> not entitled to leave. <br /> The Board met with Pir. George Green, Superintendent of Streets regarding several <br /> items he presented to the board for its determination. The items discussed were <br /> concerning: <br /> 1) holiday pay for new employees for holidays that fell within the <br /> six month probationary period, where upon Mr. Green was advised that <br /> such employees would not be compensated on a retroactive basis <br /> once their probationary period expired. <br /> 2) the possibility of employees working a straight 40 hour week <br /> inclusive of lunch periods , which item was taken under advisement. <br /> 3) the hiring of a part tima individual for research work for the <br /> maximum of two to three weeks in his department, and concerning <br /> this, was advised to send a letter request to the board for their <br /> action and <br /> 4) discussion relative to the towns performance appraisal form <br /> regarding employees, where upon the board, advised Mr. Green that <br /> an anticipated change in this form would be forthcoming. <br /> The board discussed the matter of the hiring of a Personnel Officer to work: <br /> part time in Town Hall, and it was decided that a job description together with <br /> weekly hours and salary classification.would be prepared for submission to the <br /> Selectman in the immediate future. <br /> Various correspondence was discussed and answered. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 11.05P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Irene Kosarick <br />
