ANTF,S OF THE MASHPEE PERS0IML BOARD 1•ff,17ETII G <br /> November 7, 1977 <br /> • The Personnel Board meeting was called to order by Chairman, Frank <br /> Leonardi, at 7:30 p.m. Members Ken Parolski and John Peters, Jr. were <br /> present; Wilma Graham absent. <br /> The minutes From the meeting of October 24, 1977, were accepted as <br /> correct. <br /> I <br /> It was voted and seconded that the position of part-time Clerk/Typist <br /> in the Police Department, presently hold by Mrs. Doris Hendricks, be increased <br /> from 19 to 25 hours. A setter was sent to Deputy Frye informing him of this <br /> decision. A letter was also sent to the Board of Selectmen, with copies to <br /> Town Accountant and Town Treasurer asking them to take any necessary action <br /> in their departments concerning Mrs. Hendricks' increased work week. <br /> I <br /> The Board met with Names Volpe at 8:00 p.m. for a general discussion <br /> of the Mashpee Fire Department and matters pertaining to the Para-I'ledical <br /> Training Course. <br /> It was agreed to meet individually with members of the -Fire Department <br /> on November 14, 1977, and a letter was sent to James Volpe, President of the <br /> Firefighters Association, with a time schedule for each member to meet with <br /> this Board. _ <br /> A request was sent to the Board of Selectmen asking them to send a <br /> . representative to attend the above-mentioned meeting between members of the <br /> Fire Department and this Board. <br /> A communication was sent to the Board of Selectmen concurring with <br /> their suggestion that Town Personnel, when subpoenaed to appear in court, <br /> term these days as days of "excused absences". <br /> A letter was sent to Deputy Frye approving a change of shift for <br /> Prosecuting Officer, Bradford Fish. - <br /> A modification to the contract concerning the above change was sent ; <br /> to the Board of Selectmen and Flashoee Police Employees Association for <br /> signatures. <br /> A request was sent to Deputy Frye for doctors certificates for Sgt. <br /> Albert Gonsalves , Ptl. 14fi.tchell Swierz, and Det. Edgar Burroughs. <br /> Received a letter from Deputy Frye cancelling his vacation for November, <br /> and {own Accountant was notified. <br /> Vacations were approved for the follo-wing: <br /> David T. Aitchison 11/1.1/77 <br /> Marcia Ducharme 11/10/77 <br /> Larry Dove 12/5/77 - 12/9/77 <br /> Bradford Fish 1/23/78 - 1/27/78 <br /> . 1/30/78 - 2/3/78 <br />
