Personnel Board <br /> • Minutes of August 9, 1982 Page 2 <br /> Use of Town Vehicles <br /> Discussion was made on the'use of town vehicles by employees for personal business <br /> such as picking up sandwiches during lunch hours, cashing pay checks or taking the <br /> trucks home at night. The Board felt that it would help the public image in not <br /> allowing such practices to continue. The secretary was asked to find out what the <br /> town is spending a week for gas broken down by department. They suggested sending <br /> a letter to the Executive Secretary on the subject. Another suggestion was to com- <br /> pare gas bills from year to year. <br /> Applications of .Board Secretary <br /> As the closing date for receipt of applications of Board Secretary was August 6, the <br /> secretary requested that all applications be reviewed. This was done and dates for <br /> the interviews were scheduled for the next Personnel Board meeting. <br /> Mail <br /> A letter dated July 21 from David Makkers,. a candidate for the Street Superintendent <br /> position, was read into the minutes.
