MINUTES OF PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> • MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> March 1, 1982 <br /> At the Personnel Board meeting of March 1, 1982, the following members of the Board <br /> were present: James F. Rich, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, John Peters, Bob Sullivan <br /> and Curtis Woodbury. Karen Hale was also present. <br /> The minutes of February 8, 1982 were accepted. <br /> The Secretary conducted police examinations along with Sergeant Cooper earlier in <br /> the evening. The following candidates were interviewed for the position of police . <br /> officer by the Personnel Board along with Chief Frye and Sergeant Cooper: David <br /> Belcher, Kevin Murphy, Charles Pasciuto, Robert Lenehan, Donald Roycroft, Walter <br /> Juskiewicz and Theodore Skirvan. The scoring on the candidates was based on their <br /> written examinations and oral interviews. Theodore Skirvan, Walter Juskiewicz and <br /> Donald Roycroft were chosen as finalists in that order. Reference checks will be <br /> made by the Police Department before recommendations are made to the Selectmen. <br /> Town Accountant Candidates <br /> A memo from the Executive Secretary was received and read into the minutes regarding <br /> • his concern of the Personnel Board's selection of finalists for the Town Accountant <br /> position. <br /> Article on Maintenance Worker -Police Department <br /> A copy of an Article which the Police Department has submitted for vote at the annual <br /> town meeting was received. It is regarding the full-time maintenance person for the <br /> police station. <br /> Park and Recreation - Job Description <br /> The Recreation Aide, Level I and II, job descriptions were received from Wendy Rubin, <br /> Director of the Recreation Department. The Personnel Board voted to accept the job <br /> descriptions as written. <br /> Clarification on Four Hour Guarantee for Board Secretaries <br /> A letter was received from Ray Sweeney of the Government Study Committee asking for <br /> clarification on the four-hour guarantee for Board Secretaries. The Personnel Board <br /> voted that this was a past practice to pay Board Secretaries in the Town of Mashpee a <br /> . four-hour guarantee for all meetings that they are called out for. If the meeting ex- <br /> ceeds the four hours, they are reimbursed for it at the regular hourly rate of pay. <br />
