Joe told the Board that he felt they have a viable role in the contracts even if the Selectmen are negotiating. At 8:15 P.M. Wendy Rubin, Recreation Director, came to get the Personnel Board's approval on the rate of pay for Lifeguards, Second Year Lifeguards who have their WSI, Head Lifeguard and Gate Attendant. It was voted to pay the first year Lifeguards and lifeguards who do not have their WSI the rate of $3.64. Lifeguards who return for a second year and subsequent years are to be .pai.d $3.80�provided `that. they tiold�their WSI certificate. The . Head Lifeguard is to'be paid $4.25. The Gate Attendant is to be paid $3.40. The Board gave 'their approval,for}.Wendy to t do the .interviewing of Lifeguards and Head Lifeguard. The Personnel Board voted at this meeting for a 6% raise recommendation for: r Special Police Officers, Matrons and Call Firemen and Lifeguards, Head Guard and Gate Attendant. { A letter from Chief Gould was received regarding a promotion for Lucinda Erdman. The Board felt that they wanted to wait until Lucinda's probationary period was .up before making a decision,. Chief Gould was asked to submit a job description on Administrative Secretary to Fire Department.. The Board da- d express concern about the possibility of another position being initiated.
