-2_ <br /> Personnel Board Minutes <br /> Meeting of December 1 2 , 1988 <br /> Sick Bank Request . <br /> The Board reviewed a letter from the Ma-shpee Fire Department Sick Bank <br /> Committee dated December 7 , relative to a request from Firefighter David <br /> Do.ttridge to use an undetermined amount of sick time from the Sick Bank . <br /> The Sick Bank Committee has approved the use of thirty days by F/F- David <br /> Dottridge .starting on January 8 , 1989 . , <br /> R <br /> Leo Turo - asked the assistant to adjust the records accordingly _ <br /> - F <br /> Release of Personnel Information + <br /> The Assistant advised the Board that she met with Atty . Morse of Reardon ' s <br /> office regarding the request from Ann Henderson for information in the <br /> personnel file . Attorney Morse stated that slie- received material from <br /> the Secretary of State ''s Office outlining the perimeters of information <br /> which must be released . Copies were made for the personnel files . Atty . <br /> Morse advised. the assistant exactly what information on each application <br /> of the two department heads could .be released . Things such as social <br /> security numbers , references , or anything of a personal nature should not <br /> be released . Manny Glickman requested that the secretary send a letter <br /> to 'Atty . Morse asking- her to put a letter in writing to the Board in follow <br /> up as to what the perimeters are . <br /> Minutes of November 30 and December 5 <br /> Board members were given copies of Minutes of Nov : 30 and Dec . 5 for their <br /> review . <br /> Evaluation of Margaret Carmichael <br /> The Board reviewed a one-year evaluation of Margaret Carmichael , a part- <br /> time clerk in the Assessor ' s office . Based upon the very favorable evalua- <br /> tion by her supervisor, (Pat Hicks , Manuel Glickman .moved to accept the <br /> evaluation . Leo Turo seconded . Ben Lofchie abstained being a member of <br /> the Board of Assessors . All others were in favor . <br /> Deputy Fire Chief Position <br /> The Assistant advised the Board that the Fire Chief has requested assistance <br /> in advertising for a Deputy Fire Chief . He plans to ' require a 500 word <br /> essay describing what the applicant would do to improve the fire prevention <br /> and public education programs in the Town of Mashpee . The interview .panel <br /> will consist of Chiefs from three other towns including the Mashpee Chief <br /> and a member of the. Jaycees : He requested a member of the Personnel Board <br /> to assist . Leo Turo , the liaison to the Fire Department , will sit in . if <br /> interviews are held at night . Chairman Sullivan will be the back up person <br /> if Leo Turo cannot make it . <br /> Department Head Survey of Salaries <br /> Ed Baker asked the Assistant to survey other towns for salaries of depart- <br /> ment heads who have similar duties to those in the Town of Mashpee . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 7 : 00 p .m . <br /> Respectfully submitted , <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> Personnel Assistant <br />
