Town of Mashpee <br /> Planning Board <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> January 21, 2009 <br /> AA Lroved 5-0 on 4/l/09 <br /> The Town of Mashpee Planning Board Meeting was called to order in Conference <br /> Room#1, Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North,Mashpee,Massachusetts at <br /> 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. <br /> Planning Board Members present: Dennis Balzarini, Vice-Chairman; James <br /> Leonard, Clerk; Joseph Mullin; Thomas O'Hara, Chairman; and Mary Waygan, <br /> Associate Member. <br /> Also present: F. Thomas Fudala, Town Planner; Thomas Mayo, GIS Coordinator; <br /> and Charles Rowley, Consulting Engineer. <br /> Mashpee Commons: Douglas Storrs <br /> Cape Cod Commission: Phil Dascombe <br /> A quorum being present the Chairman called the Meeting to order and addressed <br /> the first order of business. <br /> Discussion <br /> Mashpee Commons LLC and Cape Cod Commission <br /> Proposed Mashpee Commons Development Agreement <br /> The Chairman recognized Douglas Storrs who reported upon a meeting with the <br /> Cape Cod Commission subcommittee at a formal hearing with reference to the active <br /> DRI process which expires in February 2009. The subcommittee has granted a one-year <br /> extension, as well as waiving the application fee. Mr. Storrs further reported that the <br /> subcommittee appeared to be pleased with the progress made. <br /> There have also been a number of meetings with Cape Cod Commission staff <br /> members in an attempt to compile a list of required submittal information for the <br /> Development Agreement. <br /> Point of Information: Mr. Storrs reported that the new Regional Policy Plan has <br /> been endorsed by the Assembly of Delegates. <br /> Mr. Storrs stated that he feels the Cape Cod Commission is comfortably up to <br /> speed with the progress presented to date. The major components of the formal <br /> application, when submitted, will include the following issues: natural resource, open <br /> space, transportation, affordable housing, water resources, community character, <br /> economic development, and energy. <br /> 1 <br />
