Personnel Board Meeting Minutes of February 26 , 1990 Page 4 I Employee-of-the-Month Pro ram Chairman Sullivan asked that Kevin Harrington look into an -employee of the month program : He said that he felt that it would be good for the morale of the employees . Proposed Increase in Fees - Annual Town Physicals The Board reviewed correspondence from Dr . Silva .regarding an ','increase in annual town physicals to be effective July 1 , 1990 . The increase for an adult physical with EKG would go from $107 to $112 and the adult physical without EKG would go from $66 to $70 which is a modest 5% in- crease overall . Ben Lofchie moved to accept the new rate increase as proposed by Dr . Silva • . .Jane Stockbridge seconded the motion . All in favor . Ben inquired into the status of giving '�the employees a more thorough physical ; i .e : stress test . The Personnel Assistant said that it was an item for union negotiation and that the Board should advise Kevin Harrington of the meeting which the Board had with the Fire Chief , the Police Chief and D .P .W . Director . All were in agreement . Annual Evaluation - George Baker The Board reviewed a very favorable annual evaluation done by Chief Ridgeway for Deputy Chief Baker . The Chief recommended that George be granted his annual step raise and higher if possible . I All Board members were in agreement to raise George Baker to the next step commenting that he is an asset to the Town of Mashpee . Creation of New Position - Data Processing Coordinator The Board was giving copies of material on a Data Processing Coordinator sent from "Kevin Harrington for their review . Enclosed was' a copy of the drafted job description, a survey from Massachusetts Government .Informa- tion Systems Association , and an article that appeared in a personnel journal , Ben Lofchie commented that the Town may need someone that can write up programs . He said that Tom Pucci commented that he thinks Data Process- ing Coordinator is the wrong title . (Tom Pucci is currently the consult- ant hired by the Town for fifteen hours per week. ) The Board will take the material , review it and discuss it with Kevin at a- future meeting : 1 k P .A . P . Employees The Board reviewed correspondence from the employees under the Personnel Administration Plan `stating. that .,they will be present at their meeting of March 5 at 6 : 30 p _m : to discuss the future of step increases, : Meeting adjourned at 7 : 1 0 p _m .
