Vote— unanimous in favor. <br /> Shellfish Constable's Report. The Mashpee River and Shoestring Ray down to <br /> Pu nkhorn Point is scheduled to be closed to shellfishing by the DMF on April 1 as <br /> usual. The' application for. 95,14a for quahog seed and propagation gear for <br /> Great River was approved by the Community Preservation Committee (CPC), <br /> Final approval would be by vote of Town Meeting on May 6. An appeal has been <br /> filed with DEP by the opponents of RichardCook's new shellfish aquaculture site. <br /> Old Business: <br /> shellfish Apuaculture Regulations: Nothing new. <br /> Shellfish Progac iation.a The plan for 2013 is the same as last year with an <br /> additional 1,000 remote set oyster bags for the Mashpee River, and 6 million <br /> quahog seed for Great River if the CPC funding is approved at Town Meeting. <br /> Sponge Fouling: Nothing new. <br /> Waguait Ray Town Line: Nothing new. <br /> Additional Topics__ Invasive fresh water clams: What can we do about them now <br /> that they are here's York— I -have signs from the state Lakes and Ponds Program <br /> to post at boat loadings that say `Stop the spread of nuisance aquatic plants and <br /> animals. Help protect our lakes and ponds. Remove all plants and animals from <br /> boat, trailer, anchors, fishing gear and dive gear. Flush engines and dispose of <br /> bait, bilge water and bait bucket water on land away from shore. Never release <br /> any plant or animal into a body of water unless it carve out of that body of water. <br /> Dispose of all foreign matter far fromwater! <br /> Can they spread to salt grater?
