,I <br /> I' <br /> shall be directed at any point beyond the lot lines of <br /> the premises illuminated. <br /> 10.41 Contractors, Developers: For each construction or de- <br /> velopment project, there may be issued -a temporary <br /> permit for one standing sign not to exceed 16 square <br /> feet in area, setting forth facts and names pertinent <br /> to the subject. Such signs shall be removed forthwith <br /> when the project is completed. Submitted by Mashpee <br /> Planning. Board. <br /> i <br /> SECTION 11: FLOOD PLAIN ZONE PROVISIONS <br /> ,, Permits for new construction, alteration of structures, <br /> or other development (any man-made change to improved ,! <br /> or unimproved real estate, including but not limited to build- <br /> ings or other structures, mining, dredging, filling, grading, <br /> paving, excavation or drilling operations), at or below the <br /> Base Flood Elevation as specified with the A and V zones (in j <br /> unnumbered A zones, in the absence of Flood Insurance Ad- <br /> ministration data, the base flood elevations shall be deter- <br /> mined by obtaining, reviewing and reasonably utilizing any <br /> existing base flood elevation data from Federal, State or <br /> other sources) as designated on special F.I.A.Flood Insurance <br /> Rate Maps; Page five and Page ten dated October 19, 1977, <br /> (which are on file with the Town Clerk, Planning Board and <br /> Building Inspector), shall be approved subject to other laws <br /> and by-laws applicable thereto and to the following: <br /> 1. New construction or substantial improvement* (repair, <br /> construction or alteration costing 50% or more of the <br /> market value of the structure before improvement, or if <br /> damaged, before damage occurred), of residential struc- <br /> tures shall have the lowest floor (including basement), <br /> elevated to not less than base flood elevations. New con- <br /> struction or substantial improvement of nonresidential <br /> structures shall either be similarly elevated or, together <br /> with attendant utility and sanitary facilities, be flood- <br /> proofed to not less than base flood elevations. <br /> *(Substantial improvement will have been deemed to <br /> occur when the first alteration of any structural part <br /> of the building commences.) <br /> i <br /> 45 <br />
