SECTION 12: <br /> APPEALS AND BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> 12.1 As provided by Massachusetts General Laws there shall <br /> be in Mashpee a Board of Appeals. Such Board of i <br /> Appeals shall consist of three members and two asso- <br /> ciate members, all of whom shall be appointed by the <br /> Selectmen in the manner specified in the Massachu- <br /> setts General Laws. Such Board members shall have <br /> and exercise the powers applicable under Massachu- <br /> setts General Laws. <br /> SECTION 13: ZONING AMENDMENTS <br /> 13.1 An y person desiring a zoning amendment shall propose <br /> it in writing to the Selectmen for insertion in the war- <br /> rant of a town meeting, regular or special <br /> 13.2 If geographic change of a zoning boundary description <br /> be proposed, words of boundary description change for <br /> insertion in the warrant shall be accompanied by a <br /> brief written statement of the nature, extent and lo- <br /> cation in the town of the zoning map change proposed, <br /> i e <br /> together with three blackline prints of a diagram to <br /> scale showing the area to be changed, stating pertinent <br /> dimensions in feet. <br /> 13.3 On each zoning amendment proposal accepted by the <br /> Selectmen for insertion in a town meeting warrant, <br /> or on any such proposal inserted in a town meeting ; <br /> warrant by petition as provided by statute, the Plan- <br /> ning Board shall hold a public hearing, of which notice <br /> shall be given 'by the Planning Board under the statu- <br /> tory zoning notice provisions. <br /> 13.4 The costs of publication and of mailing of notices of <br /> hearing and the costs of holding such zoning hearing <br /> and of making a public record of the proceedings at <br /> such hearing, if such a record be made, shall be paid j <br /> by the Planning Board, but the Planning Board may j <br /> determine whether a fee to cover such costs shall be <br /> required of zoning amendment proponents. <br /> 41 <br /> II i <br /> I <br />
