4}" <br /> S <br /> ZONING BY-LAW <br /> A. PURPOSE <br /> 1. The purpose of these by-laws is to promote the health, <br /> safety, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the Town j! <br /> of Mashpee, to protect and conserve the value of property <br /> within the town, to increase the amenities of the town, and <br /> to secure safety from fire, congestion, or confusion, all in <br /> accord with the General Laws, Chapter 40A, sections one (1) <br /> to twenty-two (22) inclusive, as amended. <br /> B. ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS <br /> 1. The Town of Mashpee is hereby divided as shown on <br /> the Map entitled "Zoning Map, Town of Mashpee, Massachu- <br /> setts", dated November 3, 1959,and filed with the Town Clerk, <br /> into the following districts: R-75 Residence District, R-100 C� <br /> Residence District, R-150 Residence District, Business Dis- <br /> trict, Marine Area District, and Industrial District. Said map, <br /> and such amendments to it as shall be duly enacted, shall be <br /> considered an integral part of this by-law. Boundaries of <br /> Zoning districts shown -on said map shall be assumed to be <br /> accurate. <br /> 2. Lots in Two Districts—Where a District boundary line <br /> divides any lot existing at the time such line is adopted, the <br /> regulations for the less restricted portion of such lot shall <br /> extend not more than thirty feet into the more restricted <br /> portion, provided the lot has street frontage in the less re- <br /> stricted area. <br /> a: <br /> C. PERMITTED USES <br /> 1. The following uses are permitted in all Districts: <br /> (a) General purpose farm, agriculture, garden, green- f <br /> house or nursery, selling only produce or plants the major <br /> portion of which is raised locally in the Town of Mashpee <br /> or on property owned by a resident or residents of the Town <br /> of Mashpee, and excluding any use injurious, noxious, or <br /> offensive to the neighborhood. <br /> (b) Church use. <br /> (c) Educational use, provided that, in the case of non- <br /> religious educational uses, they shall be non-profit enterprises <br /> of a type subject to regulation by the State Department of <br /> Education. <br /> (d) Municipal, municipal recreation or water supply use. <br /> (e) Hospital or sanitarium use. <br /> 3 <br />
