PATEL M.D.
ROBERTJ.WELLMAN.PN.D.
February 11, 1985
To Whom It May Concern:
I have known the Andrew Morings for nearly 30 years. They have led
filled and active lives, both having been full-time state employees and raising
two boys. Their leisure time has always been filled with raising a flower and
vegetable garden which would make any full-time gardener green with envy.
Over the years they yearned for the time of retirement when they could
have a substantial flower and vegetable garden, as well as a green house where
they could grow more exotic items. The time spent in their horticultural
activities would fill their many hours and days with peace and enrichment.
They both have an inborn need to be close to the "earth".
In my professional opinion, it is a mental and physical necessity for
them to feel productive when they retire from their present positions. They
have both been concerned and upset about the fact that after so many years of
planning for a home and garden at the Cape, their dream may not be permitted.
I hope the powers that be do not shatter their dream. It could be detrimental
to their emotional health.
Respectfully,
Raymond K. Loughlin, Ed.O.
Psychologist
RKL/dmw,
30 EDWARD STREET WORCESTER,MA 01605 (617)752.2248
