Minutes of Meeting of Design Review Committee Tuesday, January 7, 2025 Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room Design Review Committee Members Present: Dave Morris, Building Commissioner Jonathan Furbush, Zoning Board of Appeals Member Karen Faulkner, Planning Board Member Carolyn Szarlan, Landscape Design Associate Dave called the meeting to order at 8:30 am. NEW HEARINGS 8:30 am Project Address: 79 Echo Road Business name: Coastal Surfaces Owner/Agent: Mark Connolly Architect/Engineer: Fastsigns Request: 15 sq. ft. Post Sign to be mounted at the entrance of the building. Also a building sign 164" Wide x 26" High to be mounted above the entrance door. Mr. Connolly, Owner of Fastsigns represented the signage request for Coastal Surfaces, a flooring company that will occupy the new 9,920 sq. ft. Morton Style building located at 79 Echo Road. There are two sign requests. A sign that will be mounted onto the building above the entrance door that is made of be an aluminum pan with push through acrylic material and will be halo lit with white LEDS. The dimensions of the lettering is 157.2" W. by 18" H and will be the gray color that is noted on the rendering. The post sign that will be mounted at least 5 ft. from the front property line as noted on the original approved site plan, and is made of a composite material with the color gray. This sign will have 8 ft. posts, and cemented 2 ft. deep into the ground. The sign will be 3 ft., with 3 ft. posts above the ground. The street address will be printed on the sign as well. Mr. Furbush asked if the post sign will have lighting. Mr. Connolly was not sure, but could ask his client. Ms. Faulkner asked if the post sign will be mounted horizontally at the entrance 5 ft. from the lot line. Mr. Connolly said yes.
