A letter was written to the New England Patriots asking if they will <br /> sponsor the performances. <br /> There may be a way for food to be provided low to no cost. The Director at the Mashpee <br /> Chamber connected us with a Food Access Coordinator, more to come. <br /> Annual Report <br /> Completed and submitted. <br /> Safe Community Actions <br /> Lynne Barbee is present this evening to provide an update. The Cape Cod Coalition for Safe <br /> Communities addresses immigration issues on the Cape. This started in 2018, but the group <br /> has since been revived. In 2019 the Town approved an Article about safe communities that <br /> went to Town Meeting in May. This was an effort to meet with town officials and local law <br /> enforcement about immigration issues. This Community Policing Policy was adhered to and <br /> respected, and authorities rely on the community to report crimes. Local officials are not <br /> aligned for ICE detaining. There is an organization Mass Immigrant Rights and Advocacy that <br /> creates funding if an immigrant needs legal representation. The MIRAcoalition.org is a website <br /> that has information on this. <br /> Also, Catholic Charities is hosting a Know Your Rights Zoom on February 19t", it will also be <br /> broadcast in different languages. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Policy Statements <br /> Signed and submitted. <br /> Student Representatives: 2025-2027 <br /> The current student representatives are graduating in June and MIDC is looking for two <br /> sophomores to fill those seats. The Social Studies teacher recommended a particular student <br /> who is focused on inclusivity and is active as an advocate for equality and inclusivity, Max <br /> Nash. The second sophomore, Lilly Lewis, came recommended by the current serving <br /> representatives. Ms. Stevenson would like the new representatives to come to the May <br /> meeting. <br /> Social Media <br /> 3 <br />
