of TMs s,s
z.
AU1MLIUVy
own qf MaS 2 Panning Board
c
16 Great Neck RoadNorth
-Mashpee, -Massachusetts 02649
Passcode:join ID: 89589525562
The Regional Policy Plan are the Rules and Regulations that govern large developments in our
community. This acts as planning guidance and advice from the Regional Planning
Commission. These will be in our LCP.
Undercurrent and future challenges, in 2014 64% chose affordable housing as a problem. In
2025, that increased to 84%. There was a new question about sea level rising and pond water
quality. 74% and 76% of people stated those were issues. Respondent percentage correlated
with representation across the community.
Ms. Waygan will invite the CCC to come to the Mashpee Planning Board and present this
information.
TOWN PLANNER REPORT
Naukabout Update
Originally, there were parking concerns identified here, in working closely with the owner and
Drew McManus from Conservation, there was a two-step plan developed. Rip Rap and Jute
matting was placed in the entry and exit to stop runoff. It was installed and reviewed this
Tuesday. Given the weather lately, it allowed us to see how it held in a rainstorm, with no
indication of wash out or sediment. When the business owner delves into his Capital Plan, a
more long-term solution will be identified. After summer there will be a stormwater plan and
erosion control properties based on rhododendron plantings.
Ms. Waygan noted eye sores at the top of the property in view of the pond. That was not the
storage on the hill that was envisioned. It was promised to be kept as natural as possible. She
is hoping when he starts to spend money on site design, that will be investigated. The
container was not on the plan. There is landscaping that was not adhered to due to parking.
The patio lights came up after the plan, in violation of the photometric plan. We should take
this opportunity to bring it back. Let's be creative.
Ancient Ways Update
The Assistant Town Manger just held a meeting to discuss ancient ways. Before the signs are
put back, we will need permission from Willowbend. Some have gates, we need clarity on
pedestrian/vehicle friendly, and iron that out in greater detail. Mitchell's Landing has a long
history with prior owners using boulders to allow pedestrian use and no vehicles. This will be a
larger project, but we will use various maps of ancient ways, the Tribe has some in their
archives as well. This will give a comprehensive overlay of all ancient ways.
MOTION:
10
