<br /> Mashpee Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC) <br />Minutes – March 25, 2025 <br />6:00 PM <br />Ockway Meeting Room <br /> <br />Present: Carol Sherman, Pamela McCarthy, Robyn Simmons, Denise Dutson <br /> <br />Absent: Patrice Pimental <br /> <br />Guests: Stephanie Viva, Mashpee Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Minutes: Denise moved to approve the minutes of 2/25/2025. Pamela seconded; the motion <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Stephanie Viva <br /> <br />The Committee interviewed Stephanie for the seat in the EDIC. Stephanie moved to Mashpee <br />when she was stationed at Otis; she bought a house in Mashpee. She has owned small <br />businesses, run not-for profits, and been involved in various projects in the community. She is <br />on the board of the Boys and Girls Club and was instrumental in getting the Mashpee Farmer’s <br />Market established. She currently heads the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. The board took <br />notes and will submit them to the Select Board; Stephanie will also go to the Select Board <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4. Treasurer’s Report: <br /> <br />The EDIC’s checking account had $18,427; the money market account has $14,738 and the <br />CD has $262,959. <br /> <br />5. Old Business: <br /> <br />Stephanie Viva brought a check for the amount the EDIC paid to sponsor the SEED program. <br />The program is postponed until the fall due to low enrollment. <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> <br />Chamber Magazine: The EDIC will write a short (300 word) article for the chamber and put it <br />out that we need new members; especially people who own businesses. It would be a good <br />way to reach out and get people to join the other town committees that need members as well. <br /> <br />The town used to allocate a small sum to the magazine and the magazine would run an article <br />about the town/town government. Pamela moved that EDIC contribute $3,500 towards the <br /> <br />
